As you probably understand by now, we are particularly proud of our cuisine and the chefs who work here. We are more than happy to share our knowledge about ingredients, flavors and techniques.

At Pio Country Club you are close to great hunting grounds. Forest Hare and wild boar are found in the forests of Småland. Deer are found on the open landscape to the south. Seabirds flock to our many lakes. And, of course, the moose in the autumn and winter are found in the hills further inland, but also next to our own Lake Toftassjö. We offer customized hunting excursions. Those who enjoy fishing have immediate access to Lake Toftsasjön, which contains pike, perch and trout. In the Fylleån River, salmon make yearly runs.

 

For many years, Niclas traveled around the world as the beverage manager for the Pio Dining Room & Bar. Our wine cellar is the result of his many inspiring visits to the vineyards, primarily in Argentina and Chile, but also Europe, Australia and USA. Follow us to the wine cellar and take an interesting wine course in a cozy atmosphere lit by candlelight and an open fireplace. Niclas will explain about the process and the people behind the drinks, as well as share plenty of stories...

Golf    

If you are staying with us to play golf, you should know that we arrange both transportation and reservations to some of Sweden's most beautiful golf courses. Just around the corner, we have Bäckavattnets Golf Course, but we can arrange games at any of the other five courses in Halmstad.
Halmstad Golf Club sits on a gorgeous location right beside the sea and in 2007 was host to the women's Solheim Cup.

 

In the springtime, we take out our kayaks. The level of difficulty is up to you, but we have activities for both beginners and experienced paddlers.

For more advanced paddlers, we’ll make sure to challenge you and are happy to arrange competitions.

 

Turn on your GPS and pedal out into the wonderful forests all around the country club. There is terrain for those who want a proper training session and those who just want to go on a quiet ride with a picnic basket. Take a break for some refreshments at our special ”fika” spot where you have a view of the entire Laholm Bay, all the way down to Båstad.
